Somnath Hore (1921–2006) was an Indian printmaker, painter, and sculptor known for his politically charged and emotionally intense artworks. Influenced by the Bengal Famine of 1943 and the Tebhaga movement, his works often portrayed human suffering, struggle, and resilience He was renowned for his powerful printmaking techniques, particularly woodcuts and etchings, as well as his later bronze sculptures featuring deeply scarred surfaces.....
